Today SAC Weysan Dun announced the arrests of Ruben Rosado, DOB 4/28/1977, from Rahway, NJ and Michael Greene, DOB 3/31/1978, from Linden, NJ for the 11/10/07 armed robbery of the Investors Savings Bank in Piscataway, NJ. These individuals used the threat of violence and displayed handguns to rob that bank. As our investigation continues into the series of bank robberies that have plagued Union and Middlesex Counties, we move forward with these two men as our prime suspects in the entire series of robberies. The similarities between the crime charged and other bank robberies committed earlier this year suggests they may be involved. At a previous press conference SAC Weysan Dun said it would take a brave person to stand up and help the FBI catch men such as these. Today we highlight the contributions of two brave citizens as examples of what others should aspire to do. One citizen immediately called authorities upon observing suspicious activity and a second citizen assisted the law enforcement investigation that resulted. The names of these citizens is being withheld due to the ongoing investigation. If two brave citizens failed to get involved in this case we may not have captured these suspects. SAC Dun would like to acknowledge and thank the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office for their demonstrated tireless efforts in assisting the FBI in the apprehension of these armed and dangerous felons. The Woodbridge, Piscataway and Perth Amboy Police Departments stepped up and used old-fashioned police work and determination to piece together scraps of information that led to the arrest of Michael Green in Perth Amboy on the day of the robbery. Also instrumental in the arrest of the second suspect was the Rahway Police Department and the Sayreville Police Department. SAC Dun specifically thanked agents and support staff in the Franklin Township Resident Agency saying, “Under the direction of SSA Michael Harpster this investigation has reached the point we all strive for. A place where there is much left to do, but the suspects have been identified, arrested and locked up so that our citizens can go about their day without fear.” SAC Dun also said, “This has been a fine example of law enforcement agencies working together to obtain a common goal. Several weeks ago FBI agents met with all local departments in the affected area in order to design a plan to capture these men. A net was cast out that used cunning police work and an analysis of the behavior of the criminals. Together we brought the net back in with our catch.” The public is reminded that charges are only accusations and that all suspects are innocent unless and until they are proven guilty. Both men were charged with Bank Robbery, Title 18 Section 2113 (a)(d)
