FBI GANG INVESTIGATION NABS CRACK DEALER;
PART OF LARGER OPERATION

Newark, NJ – New Jersey FBI agents arrested Eric Williams, age 25, last night on federal drug charges. Special Agent In Charge Weysan Dun announced this arrest as part of larger investigation into the “Muslims Over Everything” (M.O.E.) gang operating in the Burlington County area.

The federal criminal complaint, filed February 24, 2009 in Camden, New Jersey, alleges that between May 22 and June 18 of 2008, FBI agents observed Williams selling crack cocaine on three separate occasions. With each sale, Williams increased the price of his product, claiming “there’s like a drought now.” On one of those occasions, the product was warm to the touch –an indication to law enforcement that the powder cocaine had just been “cooked”, or converted into crack cocaine. All three sales occurred in the parking lot adjacent to the Unity Hustlers in Willingboro, New Jersey. In total, Williams sold almost 220 grams of crack cocaine.

Other subjects in the M.O.E. gang investigation have already been arrested and charged with bank robbery and various narcotics violations and are suspected of committing several shootings resulting in fatalities throughout Southern New Jersey. “Our message is clear,” says Weysan Dun. “Law enforcement will use any tool in our arsenal to rid our communities of gang pestilence. This may be a single drug arrest, but it is one more step in dismantling this dangerous group who has no regard for our laws or public safety. If you choose this lawless lifestyle, if you choose to be a parasite on society rather than a productive contributor, we will seek to remove you from it.”

Williams appeared before Honorable Ann Marie Donio this afternoon. He was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshals pending a bail hearing on Monday, March 2, 2009.

A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Special Agent in Charge Weysan Dun thanks the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the East Hampton, Willingboro, and Burlington City Police Departments, and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office for their contributions in this matter.
